OK - so had to share this and write it down! The other morning I was helping Brady get his shoes and socks on for school. I had just finished getting myself ready and we were soon to be out the door for the day!
As I was down on his level helping him, he grabbed my cheeks and said - "You smell like Lemons Mommy" and then he stroked the back of my head a few times! My heart melted! It has to be the cutest thing I can remember in a long time.
I didn't really think much of it after that until about 3 days later - similar circumstance - he said it again. Then I realized, he was smelling the new hand lotion I bought! And, it does kind of smell like lemons!
So, now when I need a pick me up - I just go put on my new "Lemon" lotion and think of that morning. It just brings me back! I guess it will be one of those "Mom smells" Brady remembers. It sure does put a smile on my face now too!
Kids say the cutiest things. I Have to say, I see a different side of life with Cameron. When he was little he said adorable sweet things to me, now he is embarrased by me. At least I have four girls who still say cute things and love me. But the day will come when I dont. Where did you get the lotion? Sounds like it smells good!
ReplyDeleteI got it at Burke Williams - it is one of their newer lines...just basic body lotion though! It makes me sad to think that some day Brady will be embarred by me....but - hey it will happen!

ReplyDeleteso I"m catching up on my blog now and wondering if Time is looking to become a pilot or just doing this as a hobby???
Tim is just doing it as a hobby now....maybe someday when we are older and kids are grown he will do it as a profession....I would love that - but not until kids are grown. He would be gone way to much now if he were to be a commercial pilot. Now - it is just a fun things for him....and for us!
