Another cute one to remember...

So, this is the first Lenten season that Brady has been in school and learning about Lent in a formal way. We have talked about it before, but mostly only with Abbie as Brady was pretty young. This year for Lent, Abbie decided to give up snuggle toys to sleep with! She has been doing so well - resisting every night has been hard, but she hasn't wavered.

Brady on the other hand never mentioned anything about giving anything up this year. I didn't push it either. My mother in law asked him what he gave up this year. She shared with me today what his answer was. I about passed out when she told me cause I was laughing so much!

She asked him what he gave up and without hesitation her announced:

"I am not giving anything up. I like everything too much!"

Wow - that is all I have to say to that! I asked him about it tonight and he said the same thing to me. It was very matter of fact and just the way it was to be! No talking him out of it!

We will see what next year brings once he is in Kindergarten and learning even more about it! I sure hope he doesn't say that same thing next year to one of the Sisters!

  4. Classic!! Yes, little ones don't yet get that delayed gratification thing. But I think he's just speaking the truth that no one else wants to say!

  5. Our kids go to school at St. Jeanne de Lestonnac in Tustin. It is a private Catholic school! We absolutly love it! It is a great fit for our family!

I agree Jen....he so says what we all don't want to say....but wish we could!
