Back to reality!

Well - tomorrow is the big day! Back to school! Funny thing is both kids were ready to go back 110% last Monday....so I thought tonight would be easy! Well at dinner Abbie announced that she didn't want to go anymore. I tried all the typical Mom things of - you get to see your friends....you get to have recess....only to be quickly responded to with - but I will have homework....what if the lunch menu is bad tomorrow......spelling tests again? It was all I could do not to laugh. Then Brady chimed in telling us all he can't wait to go back! hey....at least I have 1 out of 2 ready for tomorrow!

I personally am ready! I have so much to get caught up on that I have been putting off to be with the kids! We did manage to FINALLY get the Christmas tree and all the decorations down today! Only took me 2 1/2 hours! YUCK! And now my house looks dirty and empty! Here is a picture of what the tree looked like on Christmas morning:

We did have a great day today! Tried to take the kids to Disneyland for a few hours after lunch. Drove all the way there - waited for 15 minutes just to get to the parking structure....decided to try and park in Downtown Disney instead.....waited another 15 minutes to try and turn....then ended up giving up and heading back to the freeway. We decided to go bowling instead!

Went bowling at the new Strike lanes at the District in Tustin - super cool place! The kids did amazing (they had the bumpers up).Tim did great - 2 strikes and a bunch of spares. Me on the other hand....my score at the end of ten frames was 27.....yes 27! This new bowling alley is too fancy and puts the bumpers up and down for each player as requested. Tim said no bumpers for me...hence the 27 pins! But - all in all - it was fun!
